The Gainlab Audio ASW-1 Output, Audio Loop Selector is capable of selecting between 8 independent signal path loops by the user. The device features stereo, symmetric signal source inputs that can be switched in eight stereo directions. It also has two symmetric master outputs capable of receiving signals from eight stereo directions. Alongside the master outputs, the device includes two high-quality headphone amplifiers based on TPA6120.
Primarily designed for presentation purposes, the device can power eight different devices with stereo signals and provides monitoring capabilities on the stereo return signal from the device at line level through the master output and two stereo headphone outputs. Signal switching between paths is done with relays, ensuring that the quality of the sound is not affected in any way. Due to these characteristics, it can only be used for stereo source selection, in which case it can connect eight stereo sources to the symmetric master output. Naturally, the headphone outputs can also be used in this scenario. Consequently, it allows for stereo destination selection, where it can route the signal from the symmetric source input to eight different destination signal paths.
